In digital products, PCBs can be used to
connect and support electric components. Normally, they are made from copper, material and substrate.
The size and number of PCB layers directly affect the efficiency and durability of a board. The
capability of a PCB is increased by adding more layers. It has many advantages for the
electronics industry.
1. Single-Layer PCB
Single-layer printed circuit boards (PCBs) are circuit cards that have only a thin layer of conductive
material (typically, copper) on a section of the board. The other section is used as a connection point
for electronic components.
To produce the electric borders, fills-up, connectors and parts, cables as well as vias and pads, we use
a PCB substrate with a single layer, a conductive metal layer, silkscreen and safety solder mask.
Despite the introduction of newer innovations, the electronic market still relies heavily on PCBs with a
single layer.

3. Negative Aspects of Single-Layer PCBs
Single-layer PCBs have the advantage of being simple to manufacture and inexpensive. Customers should be
aware of their disadvantages.
There is no space or pins on the printed circuit board to connect components.
Reduced performance and speed.
Weight and size increase as performance increases, which reduces the mobility of the device.
